Globoom Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026 · Leer en español
This privacy policy explains what information the Globoom app (the "App"), available for Android, iOS and web browsers, handles and how it is used. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who is responsible
The App is developed and maintained by Sergio Iglesias Leite, as an independent developer (with no registered company at this time). For any question about this policy or your data, you can write to sergioiglesiasleite@gmail.com.
2. Data the App does NOT collect
Globoom does not require sign-up or a user account, an email address or a phone number to play. We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone or precise location. The only exception is the name you choose to type, voluntarily, if you want to appear on the Hardcore leaderboard — see section 4.
3. Data stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device (using localStorage), without sending it to any server of ours:
- Your level progress and the stars you have earned.
- Your in-game coins and the shop items you have bought or equipped.
- Your best score in Hardcore mode.
- The date of the last daily reward you claimed.
This data is yours alone: it lives on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear your browser data. We have no access to it and do not collect it on any server of ours.
4. Hardcore leaderboard (optional)
Hardcore mode has a leaderboard with the best scores of all players. Saving yourself to it is optional and voluntary: you are only asked for a name if your score makes your device's top 10, and you can type whatever you want (it does not have to be your real name).
If you save your score, the following is sent to and stored on a Supabase server (our database provider):
- The name you typed.
- Your score and the time played in that game.
- An anonymous identifier for your device (not your name, email or anything that directly identifies you), so that you can update your own score without being able to change another player's.
This leaderboard is public: anyone who opens the leaderboard screen can see the names and scores in the top 10. Do not put personal information in your name.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Globoom is funded by showing ads through Google AdMob: banners on the menu screens, full-screen ads when a game ends, and rewarded video ads that you choose to watch (to revive or to double the coins you earned). To show them, AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect and process:
| Data | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| The device's advertising identifier (AAID on Android / IDFA on iOS) | Measuring and, if you consent, personalizing the ads you see |
| IP address (approximate) | Estimating your country/region to comply with local regulations |
| Technical device information (model, operating system, language) | Serving an ad that works on your device |
| Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks) | Measuring performance and preventing ad fraud |
This data is processed by Google, not by Sergio Iglesias Leite. You can read the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from its partners at this link.
6. Your consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the first time you open the App we will show you a consent form (through Google's UMP system) so you can choose whether to allow personalized ads or not. On iOS, the operating system itself will also ask for your tracking permission ("App Tracking Transparency") before any advertising identifier can be used to personalize ads.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Ad options" button in the App's main menu, which opens your consent options again.
7. Children
Globoom is not specifically aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly request personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child in your care has given us personal data, contact us at the email address above and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
The most direct way to exercise your rights over the data stored locally on your device (progress, coins, records) is to uninstall the App or clear the site data in your browser. If you saved a score on the Hardcore leaderboard and want us to delete your name and score from the server, write to sergioiglesiasleite@gmail.com. For the data processed by Google/AdMob, you can exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection) directly with Google through its privacy dashboard, or by withdrawing your consent to personalized ads with the App's "Ad options" button.
9. Changes to the App and to this policy
We reserve the right to modify, update or discontinue the App and its features (including the in-game economy, shop prices, rewards or ad network) at any time. The same applies to this policy: we will update it if the App's practices change (for example, when adding the web version with another ad network, or if development moves to a registered company). We will always publish the current version at this same address, with the "last updated" date at the top.
10. Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, write to sergioiglesiasleite@gmail.com.
